Description
The Deutsche Bundesbank issued Deutsche Mark banknotes in 14 different denominations, including this 20 Deutsche Marks banknote (Elsbeth Tucher). They are part of the Deutsche Mark banknotes series. The Deutsche Bundesbank started issuing these 20 Deutsche Mark banknotes in 1960. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1991.
This green-colored German zwanzig deutsche mark note features the image of Elsbeth Tucher, painted by the German painter Albrecht Dürer. On the banknote a caption reads ‘Deutsche Bundesbank’.
