The Federal Reserve issued American Dollar banknotes in 10 different denominations, including this 1000 American Dollars banknote. They are part of the previous series US dollar banknotes series. The Federal Reserve started issuing these 1000 American Dollar banknotes in 1928. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1934.

The bill of one thousand dollars portrays the image of William McKinley, American president during the Spanish-American War. On the note a caption reads ‘Federal Reserve Note – the United States of America’.
